The GD-generation Subaru Impreza (models N8 through N12) serves as an exceptionally rigid and proven rally platform. However, to unlock the full potential of the AWD system, counteract inherent understeer, and effectively manage the weight of this chassis on demanding special stages, a solution from the absolute pinnacle of motorsport is required. The Reiger 3-way kit based on the flagship model 570 on both axles is an uncompromising damping system that brings suspension architecture derived from factory-built Rally2 cars straight to Group N.
Reiger Suspension 3-Way – 570
The model 570 was engineered to operate under the most extreme loads, where conventional dampers fade and lose performance. The kit has been fully designed and dimensioned around the factory mounting points and geometry of the GD chassis (supporting the entire evolution of production models from N8, through N10, up to N12). Due to its increased oil volume and advanced internal design, the model 570 is completely immune to damper fade. The suspension generates identical damping forces on the first and the twentieth kilometer of a stage, regardless of the surface conditions or ambient temperature.
Independent adjustments for rebound as well as high-speed and low-speed compression give engineers and drivers complete freedom to fine-tune vehicle balance and steering responses, adapting the chassis perfectly to the characteristics of the chosen surface.
- High Speed Compression (HSC): Regulates compression during rapid piston movements, managing how the damper responds to sudden impacts triggered by surface roughness.
- Low Speed Compression (LSC): Controls compression at low piston velocities, managing body control, braking balance, weight transfer, and steering input responses.
- Rebound: A single, precise adjustment controlling the extension speed of the strut, critical for maintaining constant tire contact with the ground after clearing a bump.
