Technology for traction

Professional suspension servicing is a process that leaves no room for error. At RDM, we rely on precision tools and experience gained in motorsport. We are equipped with a professional dyno, which allows for accurate diagnostics before starting work and verification of the results upon completion. We work exclusively with original components, dedicated oil, and specialized seals, guaranteeing repeatability and reliability in the most extreme conditions.

Service process

1. INITIAL DIAGNOSTICS – visual inspection of the shock absorber, dyno test to detect any operational irregularities, and thorough cleaning prior to disassembly.

2. SHOCK ABSORBER DISASSEMBLY – complete tear-down of the shock absorber and inspection of internal components, including seals, valve stacks, pistons, and piston rods.

3. REPLACEMENT OF WORN PARTS – all seals are replaced with brand-new, original parts. The same applies to valve shims and any other components showing signs of wear.

4. SHOCK ABSORBER REFILLING – the final stage of the service involves filling the shock absorber with premium, specialized oil using a vacuum machine, followed by charging the reservoir with nitrogen.

5. DYNO TESTING – before the shock absorber is returned to the Owner, it is tested on the dyno once again to confirm that its performance parameters meet all specifications.

When Does Your Suspension Need Attention?

Professional shock absorbers are capable of enduring immense loads on a special stage, but in return, they require special care when they are not "in action."
Even the best shock absorber loses its properties with every kilometer covered. The oil undergoes thermal degradation, leading to a drop in damping force and suspension "fade" (fading) during a rally. For occasional competing, an annual overhaul is the absolute minimum. If you plan on regular starts, it is highly recommended to schedule a mid-season service as well. Remember: worn seals present a leakage risk, and old oil accelerates the wear of expensive internal shock components

What does it look like in practice?

For regularly maintained suspension, we recommend a "minor overhaul," every 500–700 km of SS which includes an oil change, cleaning the inside of the shock body, and replacing the bushing grease.
Every 1000–1500 km of SS: A full suspension service must be performed.

Service cost

The standard service for a single shock absorber typically ranges between 250 – 350 EUR net.

If the shock absorber has internal or external damage, the service must be priced individually.
