Samsonas 1-way shock absorbers are a professional rally suspension system engineered for competitors seeking uncompromising durability and handling precision on a more accessible budget. This kit, dedicated to the iconic first-generation Subaru Impreza (GC8), serves as a simpler, more user-friendly alternative to advanced 3-way systems without compromising on material quality or manufacturing precision.

Practical Customization

Due to the wide variety of modifications these cars undergo, the Samsonas 1-way kit features a highly modular layout. When placing an order, three critical technical parameters must be specified:

1. Top Mount Type: Configured either for the factory OEM GC8 chassis or converted to match mounts from the newer GDSamsonas top mounts come equipped with heavy-duty spherical bearings (uniballs).

2. Knuckle type: The dampers can be configured to interface with standard factory GC8 knuckles featuring the classic 5 x 100 mm bolt pattern (smaller hubs) or tailored to the stronger STI hub variant. 5 x 114,3 mm.

3. Chassis Type: Damping characteristics and spring rates are individually calibrated to suit the curb weight of either 4-door (Sedan) or Type R bodies.

1-way Adjustment

The suspension features an exceptionally straightforward tuning process. Via a single adjustment knob, you simultaneously regulate the compression and rebound damping forces of the shock absorber. This allows for lightning-fast adaptation of the suspension's behavior to current stage conditions without requiring specialized technical tools.

Available Specifications

Depending on the competitive surface, the shock absorbers are delivered with matched spring rates and custom valving:

• Gravel Spec: Optimized travel and progressive valving, engineered for stable jump landings and maximum traction on loose track surfaces.

• Tarmac Spec: Minimized body roll and maximum handling precision on circuits and smooth tarmac surfaces.

The kit includes:

• 2 front shock absorbers with springs and top mounts

• 2 rear shock absorbers with springs and top mounts
• C-spanners for ride height adjustment

Every component in this kit is fully rebuildable, enabling routine servicing, overhauls, or custom re-valving to match individual driver preferences.
